MONTHS SINCE A POST!! I'm sorry. No excuses, but a short explanation. Since October, pneumonia twice...a low-grade fever from October through the present...Many specialists visits and lots of various types of tests (that equals $$). Major surgery on Dec. 23rd (spent Christmas in the hospital). Waiting for a culture that won't be ready until March.... still recovering, and still feverish and sick.
But this has given me some extra time tatting. So in the next few posts, I'll backtrack and show you some of my past month's tatting.
This is my working of the Emmy Liebert edging that they did in Georgia Seitz's online tatting class Monday evening. The thread is Lizbeth 133 "Razzle Dazzle."
Your edging is very pretty and colorful! The thread has a perfect name!
ReplyDeleteThere is certainly no need to apologize for not posting! Blogging is, after all, supposed to be a 'fun' thing to do, and often there are times that other things in life take precedence! I'm so sorry to read about your health issues! That has to be so discouraging!
I've been reviewing your blog and am amazed at all the wonderful tatting you have done (I believe I have commented on some of your posts) and all the classes you've attended. I know that if I went to any of the big tatting events, I'd be so bedazzled being there that I couldn't concentrate on tatting. I'm never able to tat anything at our demonstration events because I'm too distracted!
Speaking of blogging: Unfortunately at the moment, it's a problem for some of us to leave comments on blogs with the embedded comment form, and I can only comment if I'm the first one in - so I thought I'd jump in here while I can to send you my wishes for your speedy recovery to good health!
Kathy,
DeleteThank you for the compliments on my tatting pieces.
I've been blessed getting to go the the Finger Lakes Tatting Seminars (formerly Hector Tat Days)--I have a tatting traveling buddy, we split the gas, and stay with her relatives on the trip up and back from OK to NY. We both had a dream come true when we received scholarships to the Palmettos Tat Days this year, and split the gas and hotel bills there and back.
One of the really neat things is learning new techniques, a bonus is putting faces on names you know from the internet. If you ever get a chance to attend one of the big tatting conferences TAKE IT! Although you are still in awe of their talent, you realize these "Great Tatting People" make things one stitch at a time, just like you do--and it becomes very important to learn all you can while you are in their presence.
Happy tatting!
That looks really neat! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you get feeling better soon!!
